Top Shared WordPress Hosting Services In 2016

By | Reviews | No Comments

Hosting your own website means you have to search for the best hosting provider, which can be a little tedious these days considering most don’t offer a very good up-time or aren’t reliable enough. To find a hosting provider which is reliable and fits within your budget is even more difficult.

Over the last 10 years, our agency has been designing and hosting thousands of websites for our clients. In the process, we have tried various hosting providers and want to share out experience with you so that you don’t have to waste your time looking for the best hosting provider.

DreamHost

This one makes web hosting a breeze and users get custom dashboards, 1-click WordPress installs, automatic updates, unlimited space, and bandwidth. At present, it powers over 600,000 WordPress blogs and websites. Zero setup fees and free domains make it a great choice.

We still host a few of our website with DreamHost and their customer service is one of the reasons we have stuck with them. The support is available 24/7 and they usually have quick response including during the weekend.

Besides, they also have pretty cheap hosting plans for WordPress website starting from $7.95/month.

The only thing that we hate with DreamHost is their control panel. Not only is it difficult to use, for a first time user it might just be a turn off. If you are fine with spending some time to understand their control panel, Dreamhost could be one of the easier hosting site to deal with.

HostGator

Another hosting provider that we’ve tried and have worked well for us is HostGrator. Like DreamHost, it also comes with 1-click WordPress installation. It touts to come with 99.9% uptime gaurantee and has 24/7 support.

HostGator is for those who are just starting out with their website and want something to experiment. Their plans are extremely cheap — starting as low as $2.95/month.

They also have WordPress specific plans. These are useful so that you don’t have to deal with unnecessary stuff that you don’t really need to pay attention to and can just concentrate on things that matter.

One of the disappoint areas of HostGator is its customer service. While it touts that it has 24/7 support, they do not necessarily reply as quickly as you would want to.
